Photo Contest Rules

The submission is now closed.

Prizes

The top three photo contest winners will be featured on the symposium posters. These posters are not only used to publicize the event, but they also decorate the walls of both universities Biology Departments!
There will also be gift cards (details to be announced) for the contest winners.

Voting

The voting will be public and will take place between March 6-10, 2023, online. The information about the contestants will not be made public during the voting process, to minimize bias. Only photo title (if entered) and the photo will be shared.
Voting criteria will be based on:
– How well the photo reflects the theme of Resilience or Collaboration
– Creativity and originality
– Technical quality
– Composition
The voters will be asked to  judge each photo based on these categories. As it will be public voting rather than voting by professional photographers, the results may be unexpected. This is part of the fun!
